HI, I’M VERONICA.
Following the completion of my undergraduate education at Golden Gate University, I jumped into the corporate world with a notable job at the GAP corporate headquarters and GE Capital Leasing. Leaving to join a small start-up called ONSALE, where I could explore my love of technology and numbers, I experienced my first IPO and the fast-paced decision-making that a fast-paced start-up required. It was during these formidable times that I developed the skills and tools that I would need to make a name for myself in the hottest technology hub in the world. Realizing that SAAS startups, software, biotech, eCommerce, and financial services were where my interests lay, I knew that I was on the precipice of something ground-breaking.
After 20-years of working in corporate America as an accounting and finance executive, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey in 2010 and grew a successful CFO consulting practice that served esteemed clients throughout San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Though my business experienced instant success, I realized that consulting, although valuable, was not scalable. I knew it was time to expand and get creative.
Using my independent consulting experience, I founded Fortified Accounting and assembled my dream team to start doing more of what we love most, which is having a hand in the success of a brand new generation of innovative start-ups and helping them to achieve their visions and gain a good grasp of their finances with the knowledge that their accounting is in trusted hands.
